In this hands-on workshop, you will discover your creativity and design your own charm or symbol by carving it from wax. Your unique design will then be cast in sterling silver*. You will learn basic carving techniques and be guided through the entire process. Length of workshop is 2 to 2.5 hours.
This workshop makes an amazing holiday gift—bring a friend or family member and create something special together.
No experience is necessary, and the class size is small so that Bramble can guide you throughout the process.
Your finished piece will be available for pick-up or delivery after the holidays, in mid-January.

* Stone setting is also available at an additional cost and, depending on the design, can be done by Bramble at the time of finishing.

Workshop Breakdown
Introduction to Symbols and Charms: Overview of the significance of charms and symbols in jewelry, with examples for inspiration.
Designing Your Charm: Participants sketch their designs, whether personal symbols, initials, or abstract shapes.
Wax Carving Demo: Demonstration of basic wax carving techniques, showing how to create detailed shapes and forms.
Carving Time: Attendees carve their charms with one-on-one guidance throughout.
Wrap-Up and Q&A: Review the carved charms, answer questions, and discuss casting and finishing.
AFTER WORKSHOP
Your piece is handed over to Bramble, with your wishes and instructions.
Bramble then refines any necessary things of the wax carving
Your piece goes through the casting process. A mold of your piece is made, the wax is then melted out, and molten silver or gold is poured into your mold to create your piece
Once all pieces have been cast, Bramble then files, sands, and polishes each piece to the direction of your wishes. This is where stones may also be set
Upon completion, Bramble will reach out to you for pick-up or delivery instructions.
This process takes roughly 3-4 weeks.
